This award recognises an individual’s or contractors commitment to the continuous process of development and skills achievement through industry training.
2. Silviculture Excellence
KTM Contracting | Troy and Kelly Mason
This award is for an individual or contractor working in the field of either silviculture or tree crop care and demonstrating excellence beyond best practice guidelines.
3. Woman in Forestry Award of Excellence
Caitlin Thomsen – NAB Logging Ltd
This award recognises a female individual who works within the forestry sector and demonstrates excellence in their particular field whilst advancing forestry workplace diversity and inclusion.
4. Emerging Talent of the Year
Jaden Clifford-Marsh – Keenan Forestry Ltd
This trophy acknowledges an individual employee who has excelled in their selected area of employment in the forest sector but has only been in the sector for a minimum of two years.
5. Harvesting Excellence
Allan Clapperton – Brolly Logging
This honour is awarded to an individual only who demonstrates distinction and goes beyond best practice in their occupation within the skilled field of forestry harvesting.
6. Distribution Excellence
Clinton Buller – Dalefield Transport
An award for an individual who works within and excels in their career within one of the four areas of truck drivers, dispatch, port workers or log logistics.
7. Wood Processing Excellence
Tamate Clayton – Kiwi Lumber Masterton
A trophy for an individual who can be recognised by their accomplishments while working in the wood processing sector and who has excelled beyond best practice guidelines within their career.
8. Forestry Family of the Year
McCarthy Family
This award is open to any families with two or more members working within any part of the forest sector and providing themselves as good role models while contributing to their communities.
9. Outstanding Health & Safety Management
Anton Wichman – Wichman Silviculture lTD
This category is for an individual or contractor who demonstrates above and beyond the general compliance of health and safety policies and regulations within their role across any of the forest sector workplaces.
10. Outstanding Environmental Management
Havendale Logging
This award is for either an individual or contractor to recognise their performance in delivering above and beyond the general compliance of environmental management rules and regulations across any of the forest sector workplaces.
11. Contractor of the Year
Moutere 2
This award recognises an entire team or company contracting and providing outstanding service within any area of the forest sector.
12. Contribution to the Forestry Industry
Adam Gresham – Kiwi Lumber
This trophy celebrates an individual who has made a significant contribution to the forest sector within the Southern North Island Region.
